This activity is closet to the most fun way to learn sight words , I can absolutely guarantee you that.
Now sight words can be a little tricky for young kids as they don’t follow the regular phonetic sounds hence making it a little confusing for the young kids and memorizing it through flash cards definitely doesn’t works in the long run.
There are 2 things to remember while teaching sight words – 1. we can still make them decodable by sorting with phonics sounds and 2. it needs a lot of practice so practicing it in different fun ways makes it easier for kids to learn.

Let’s Play & Learn
Start by writing sight words on construction paper , one word on one paper and then tape these paper on the floor on the longer side so that it makes a tunnel that is big enough for the toy car to pass through it.
Make several of these with different sight words on it and place it across the room where you will be practicing.

Now grab some toy cars and hand them to you child and let them pass the cars through these tunnels and each time they pass a car through a tunnel they will be saying the sight word written on that tunnel and hence practicing sight words in a super fun way.

You can also adapt this activity for letter , cvc words or even digraphs.
