RAINBOW SALT WRITING TRAY

The most cost effective and the least stressful way of starting to practice writing with young kids is salt writing trays.

I mean it is hands down the best way to start working on writing skills.

Literally every time my son struggled to write a number or a letter we came to practicing on salt trays and helped him a lot with correct formations.

Supplies Needed

1. Any flat tray preferably a baking tray
2. Salt
3. Construction/Craft paper in rainbow colors
4. Paint brush

Let’s Play & Learn

Now this one is very simple , first you need to do is take strips of construction paper in rainbow colors and stick them side by side in rainbow order . This will make the base of the salt tray.Now stick this paper on the salt tray and pour over some salt(enough to cover the tray) on the tray.

Next take a paint brush and this will become the writing tool.

Let’s get the writing started , give your child the paintbrush and let them write numbers or letter or draw some shapes freely.

Once they get a hang of it , you can start giving them specific writing tasks.
